BONDS Autism Centre was founded by Vanessa Lane in response to parent requests to advance social skill development opportunities in the Halton and surrounding regions. Vanessa has been in the field for 12 years and has seen first-hand the waitlists and limited resources available. Vanessa was introduced into the field with an Undergraduate degree in Childhood and Social Institutions and then a graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Sciences. She later went on to complete a Master’s degree in Applied Disability Studies, specializing in ABA. Vanessa has a passion for working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and recognizes individual and age-appropriate needs. As a new mom herself, she understands the dedication and commitment that parents have towards their children.
Staff of BONDS Autism Centre are passionate and enthusiastic individuals. They are friendly and recognize the strengths and needs of those they support. The staff come to BONDS with a variety of educational and practical hands-on experience. They are specifically assigned to individual ABA programming/ cases or groups based on their ability to appropriately support them. Staff have and will continue to build a positive and open relationship with your family or child as demonstrated by past and current testimonials.
BONDS staff are required to obtain their Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification with the option to advance their professional development by completing their Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification or their Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA) certification.
