DAY PROGRAM FOR ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL disABILITIES

AIM is not-for-profit Day Program for young adults with developmental disabilities located in Kitchener, Cambridge and Oakville. AIM offers enrolment to individuals 18+, as well as special enrolment for high school students during holidays. AIM operates from Monday-Friday from  8am-4pm and is fully accessible.

AIM participants partake in meaningful activities that promote community inclusion for individuals who are interested in making new friendships, trying new things, staying active, and building new skills.

AIM provides opportunities for participants to develop confidence and increase independence. AIM programming assists participants to develop work skills and engage in purposeful community involvement through volunteerism.

PROGRAM: With a low ratio of staff to participants we meet the emotional, developmental and personal needs of our participants through experienced support and supervision.

MISSION: To encourage growth and enhance life experiences for participants with developmental disABILITIES, through building bonds of friendship, creating meaningful activities, providing opportunities that increase well-being and by fostering purposeful community connections.

VISION: To build a strong, safe and supportive community for adults with developmental disABILITIES through building connections in all we do.

AIM OBJECTIVES:
1) AIM provides a safe & supportive environment where participants engage in meaningful activities that promote personal growth and community inclusion.

2) AIM unites persons with developmental disABILITIES who are interested in building friendships and expanding their social network.

3) AIM provides opportunities for participants to develop confidence, build life skills and increase independence.

4) AIM encourages participants to engage in activities that promote physical health, exercise, and emotional well-being.
